The theme of my book, The Blind Side, is success in football doesnt just mean you have to be big.  it means that you also need a good education and resources so you can play at that level.  I think this is the theme of this book because it is about a man who is very uneducated and wants to play football.  He is picked up by a very generous family and goes to a hard privet school that he struggles very hard at.  He goes on the football team and is not getting good grades and has to get a tuture so he can still play footbsll this level.

In part of the text, Micheal Oher is starting to fail a class.  he seeks to get help and started to get a little better in the class.  Meanwhile the class time he is getting to choose what collage to go to for football.  That is the reason he is trying so hard in school.  he is very dedicated to play football even though he wasnt the one who made him start playing.  one of the coaches at the school saw him and at first sight he thought that he could be a superstar in the sport.

"The boy had a Measured IQ of 80.  which put him in the 9th persential"  This quote supports the theme of this book because it talks about how micheal has a very poor education.  It says that the coach really beleaves in tht micheal could be a good football player.  "...who had been one acidemic probation, had no bisness." this qoute explains that you cannot play a sport with bad grades. "the problem there, at first, resembled the problems in the class room.  This qoute has to do with the theme because it is about how micheal had bad grades in the class room.  it says that the problems on the field showed that he was struggling in the class.

In the book The Blind Side ,by Micheal Lewis it talking about how Joe Thiesmann brakes his leg.  I can connect with a text-to-self connection to this statment bacause I also have broken one of my limbs playing a sport.  The book is now talking about how you have to be big and strong to play football.  One of the questions I have is how do the small running backs get into the NFL and the college level? I want to know this because there is alot of people that are not huge that play in the collage level and in the NFL.  In the novel they say that they are moving.  I can make a connection with the world because many sports players travel and live some where different for the sport.  A text to text connection I can make is when i read a book about a kid who got his arm chopped off by a meat processer.  This kid realates to this book because Joe Thiesmann broke his limb and couldnt play. 

Predictions: I think that the boys in the car are going to go to a new school or are moving to a new house.   I think this because in the text it says "Driving East, the left the third poorest zip code in the United States and headed toward some of the richest people on the Earth"(45).

The book that I am reading right now is called the Blind Side. this book is about a High School student that is very confused and isnt very good in school.  He get saddopted by a family who is very willing to take care of him.  He got abanded at a very young age by his mother.  he is spoted by the football coach one day and is invited to the football team.  when gets to playing the coach realizes that he isn't very smart with the ways of football.
